  • Special Education/Curriculum Director  - applications due August 17, 2026
 

The Purchase Line School District is seeking a highly motivated individual who will provide leadership and vision in the ongoing implementation, development, direction, review and evaluation of the district’s innovative learning system. This individual will also supervise the special education staff and coordinate the special education programs offered by the school district to enable students with exceptionalities access the appropriate educational services. This is a full-time, 12-month (260 days) permanent position.

Required qualifications include a valid PA Instructional teaching certificate, PA Supervisor of Special Education certification and/or PA Principal’s certification. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and knowledge of PA academic standards are a must. Experience in Special Education or Special Education Supervision is required.

 

Preferred qualifications include expertise in compliance with special education federal and state laws; knowledge of budget preparation and management; experience in monitoring in-district case loads and out-of-district placements; familiarity with Chapters 14/16 regulations, PA standards, and curriculum instruction; the ability to implement and direct programs and prior building administrator experience. Additionally, the director will be responsible for the K-12 curriculum, ESL, foster care, federal programs, grants, assessments and reporting.
